Description

We offer training for NEC4 and NEC3 Project Manager and Supervisor accreditations, as well as NEC4 Service Manager. Standard courses last four days, with an assessment after 30 days. This is done through Institution of Civil Engineers and we are happy to connect you with them to make things quicker and easier.

Successful candidates receive accreditation from the New Engineering Contract, Institution of Civil Engineers.

A typical Project Manager Accreditation course consists of 4 days of intensive interactive training with an assessment after 30 days. Some courses such as supervisor accreditation may last for shorter duration. Successful candidates will receive the accreditation from New Engineering Contract, Institution of Civil Engineers.

Course Structure and Format

The typical Project Manager Accreditation course includes four days of focused, interactive learning, with assessments conducted 30 days post-training. Some accreditations, such as Supervisor, may have shorter durations based on specific course needs.

Day 1: Foundation of NEC Contracts

  • Introduction to NEC Contract structure and elements
  • The Scope: Analyzing its hierarchical elements

Day 2: Core Principles and Risk Management

  • Program fundamentals
  • Early Warning Processes: Understanding risk beyond allocation
  • Liabilities and Insurance distinctions between Client and Contractor
  • Overview of Compensation Events

Day 3: Financials and Compensation Events

  • Comprehensive review of Compensation Events
  • Payment structures and the Price for Work Done to Date (PWDD)
  • Defining cost, fee structures, and cost components

Day 4: Financial and Dispute Mechanisms

  • Pain and gain sharing in target contracts
  • Financial audit processes within NEC
  • Defects: Distinguishing types and handling procedures
  • Contract termination and dispute resolution options (W1, W2, W3)

Daily Schedule

  • Start: 9:00am
  • Morning Break: 10:30am
  • Lunch: 12:30pm
  • Afternoon Break: 2:30pm
  • End: 4:30pm
